Hello Don,
It is with great relief we see you posting again. We missed you.
I am sorry you are still not getting complete relief (or even close to it), but I can see your spirit and kindness are still intact. I do hope that you can find something better. You have been waging war against RA for so long and I feel so bad for you that your daily life has been so compromised. Did you get on disability? How is your breathing lately? Any answers about what is going on with that?
Hang in there friend!

Hi Beth! Yes, I am hanging in there. I've slowed down a bit... well, maybe quite a bit these last few months as a result of things but I am doing good. I am on STD now and taking it a day at a time with regards to working again and really everything. I am still hopeful but I'm not fooling myself about it. If the meds don't really kick in soon I just don't see an alternative to LTD. BUT, we will see. :)

The breathing really seems to be related to pain. My blood pressure spikes and I get short of breath. Everything checks out OK so far as my lungs and my heart go so I am very grateful for that. The side effects of the biologics are still pretty severe but I am on Actemra for now. It does help but my pain levels are high and I am still having flares regularly.

So it is really good to see you all are doing well and I am sorry I have not been posting and worried so many people. It is very touching to know that you all care about me and I regret worrying you all! I haven't really been myself too much lately and my thinking and memory is a mess so it is hard to put coherent thoughts together some days and I just muddle through them. I missed all you guys as well and I am so grateful to have you all to talk to. All of you are a real blessing to me.

Life can sure throw some curves sometimes. I know that God has a plan for all this, I sure can't figure it out but I am just going to keep putting one foot in front of the other and I know that he will take care of us. -Don

Oh Memory my house looks like an add for post-it notes I write Everything down then either loose the note or if I haven't written it properly I cant remember what it was for anyway,

Thanks Bad. Yeah, I remember that and I am having my blood work done regularly. I think maybe so many years of these immune suppressants has just made my body really sensitive to side effects or something. I never used to have any but these last few years it has been one after another and they all seem to affect my gut the worst.

It's funny, I have to stop Carol sometimes mid sentence so I can write something down that I need to remember. For some reason I have a really hard time with multitasking to the point that I have to focus on only one thing or I get overwhelmed and frustrated. Anyway, then I go and forget where I put my reminder and I find it days later but its OK because I already forgot that I even wrote it down. :)

I swear if Carol wasn't around to help remind me about Dr appointments etc I would be on all of their do not call lists.

So very glad your doing better, just take it one day at a time. Missed you. So your breathing should show marked improvements now that your on pain medications.
