Ouchy, ouch, ouch! skull

Thanks to hurricane Matthew my body is in full on painful flare. I live 4 hours from the GA coast, but we're getting the outer rain bands.

My ankles feel like I have sprained them they hurt so bad.

My tramadol is not even phasing the pain. shakehead

I guess I'll be calling my rheumatologist on Monday if this doesn't ease off soon. smhair

I'm sorry that you have been suffering more due to the hurricane. Hopefully, it has eased down for you somewhat now.

I was on Tramadol for a few years also. Unfortunately, it does not work for some of us. I took more than I should have not because I was addicted but because it didn't work for me. I finally asked my Rheumy for another pain killer that would work better. So he put me on long acting Morphine in April. I actually felt less pain. The Xeljanz was working for me too after a couple months but I can tell that the Morphine is doing the job plus the Pred and Indo, of course. Not sure if I will remain on the short acting Morphine.

Good luck talking to your Rheumy and getting on some other pain killer that works for you. Severe pain is horrid. Feel better Joy!

Hi you never hear about the side effects of storms do you oh all you hear is news reports of roofs blown off or trees fallen but do they talk about RA pains Nooo nono
and I guess any cancelled medication trips also , while we can joke it is serious , I find whenever we get a storm especially the build up to it I feel A lot Worse,
and we recently had flooding around the whole area now while I am not in the area that Really got Flooded we got a lot of rain & there is only 2 ways to get into town and Both have a river or creek crossing and Both were flooded across the road and it was a very scary feeling even tho it only lasted a day or 2 I still felt worried.

and msOuchie I was on oxycodone for quite a while then some Bright Spark of a GP decided to put me on Tramadol OH what a nightmare it Did Nothing and like you I was taking More than I should have and taking masses of Panadol osteo but getting No relief and messing my liver up in the process
then my new GP who I have had for about 6 yrs now said why wasn't I on oxycodone I told him & he put me back on it Targin now I take Less and am getting pain coverage and I take Less Panadol Osteo .

and Joy I Hope you keep feeling better as that storm moves away your pressures should keep improving

Glad that the worst is over! I have had RA for 20 years and I always thought that the storm thing was a bunch of hooey. The last few years I know every single time a storm front is rolling into the PNW and it messes me up big time.

This last front we had last week that supposedly missed us messed me up for a good 3 days. Could hardly walk my feet were hurting so bad. I went and had blood work done and my sed rates were doubled! So much for old wives tales, guess I've joined that club now too :)

Maybe we should start an early warning weather channel? I bet we'd be more accurate than this Dopler radar guy :)

I've always been able to predict a storm system coming in within 48 hours.

I don't even have to check the weather channel . LOL!
