Hi everybody!

I've had joint pain for some time (9 months) and tested positive for anti-ccp (28, where <7 is negative). I also tested positive for HLA b27.

What is the possibility that I DO NOT have RA (or am developing it) given my posivite anti-ccp?

Have tried to find the answer on the internet with no success. My doc says not to worry... :-)

https://www.rheumatoidarthritis.org/ra/diagnosis/anti-ccp/

I found this article on reading about the process of diagnosis of RA.

Has your doctor done any xrays yet?

I was diagnosed with my Rheumatoid factor at 55 and I think under 13 or so is normal. When my pain got worse Rheumatoid Arthritis Dr wanted to do a anti-ccp and it was very high at 250. When I went back for follow up he said that that was the defining test that I definately had RA.He also said that I would never had to repeat it meaning that I for sure have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Its a newer test than the standard RF. In a year I was able to only get in down to 200.
