Well it's that time of year again i Hope all those that have Families and Celebrate Christmas or other Festivities i Hope you take care and do not over-do things and i hope you Enjoy this time.

and to those like Myself that do not have Families and just stay home at this time i Hope you do not let it get you down ,
i will be home with my Hubby as neither of us have family we tend to ignore Christmas
but it still seems to be Everywhere and it can make you feel Down But the best thing to do is realise what you have and be grateful for that and appreciate each other and any friends you have

Also Look after your Health as here in Australia it will Be Hot we need to keep up fluids and eat well even if you don't feel like it , and the same in Other Countries only in Reverse the Cold you must keep up fluids ( you can dehydrate in the cold just the same)
I Wish Every One a Safe and Happy Holliday's Time and hope we all keep in Contact in the New Year Coming

I live in the cold area. We're having a lot of rain and cold so I'm sore more.

I always seem to forget that it's hot for some at Christmas.

I come from a large family and we try to get together at thanksgiving and Christmas. It makes for interesting days. LOL

I hope everyone has a nice season.

Merry Christmas Bad Day.....and Couchtater!! I'm hoping that you are enjoying your Day and that you are not in too much pain. At least you have your Hubby to celebrate with. So you art not alone. I did overdo it yesterday pushing through the pain, so I am enjoying being alone and resting today.

I haven't been on for a while since my leg, shoulder and arm pain have been getting the best of me. Of course, I'm resistant to most medications which makes them unhelpful, so my Rheumy(against his better judgement) suggested that I try Medical Marajuana once he figures how much dosage I should be taking. I know nothing about it, so I'll need to be doing some research. If anyone knows about this topic please feel free to start a new thread about it. OOPs! Sorry to side track this thread.

Our plans changed again and we had our Christmas yesterday with Family in our home. My Hubby and the others went to visit Mom for Christmas today at the Home that she is in. They have a lovely, yummy supper there but Mom will be given the choice of going to the Chinese Restaurant also since she loves eating there and she may want to get out for a while. I stayed here with our bunny since I'm too sore to travel., etc. I will be phoning her soon to explain why I'm not with the rest.

Enjoy your Day...Blessings to all!!! *Merry Christmas and all the Best Wishes for the Holiday Season and the New Year 2017, to you and everyone else here. I hope you are all doing as well as possible.

It's bright and sunny here although not warm as in Australia BadDay. I'm a little envious of that. smile

Merry Christmas from the utterly alone - except for my constant companion, my cat Ash! Had a real bad day yesterday - barely moved from the pain. Doing much better today. Normally I go to NY where family is but I'm due for back surgery and couldn't make the trip. Moved to FL about a year ago and haven't done enough to make some friends. New Years Goal = make new friends! It's hot and humid - thanks to a bit of rain. I'd rather be surrounded by snow.

Wishing you all a pain free (one can dream right?) and otherwise healthy and prosperous New Year.

Hi to all and msOuchie & Lambyloo I didn't mean to whing I guess I was feeling a bit down I Know I am Lucky to have Hubby so I am Not totally Alone there are Many that are Very bad off I think all the Soppy Christmas adds about family and festivities got to me and couchtater Cherish your family and Enjoy your time with them

Sorry you are unwell Lambyloo Cats can be Amazing Friends hope Ash is well, and its a good idea to make new friends in the new year that is one of my goals to join a group or something as I live in country it is a drive to get anywhere to meet people I have a few acquaintances but no "friends" I guess being a loner doesn't always help dose it .

Hay msOuchie I don't know much about Medical Marijuana But I did know a guy that used the "original" for his back pain and he says its the only thing that works I Have Never tried it and would be too scared to try - wouldn't want to get the high or out of control that went with it.

However what I have learnt about the Medical Marijuana with the tch or thc ? removed, it is virtually a miracle worker for pain ,seizures and other conditions
You must let us know if you start it and how it helps for you.
as I believe there is a trial of it going on here in Australia also

the weather here has been CRAZY one day Hot then Literally Poured with Rain Thunderstorm & Electricity Power loss then next day muggy warm Really doesn't know What it wants to do

Hi MsOuchie,
There are many ways to get the benefits of cannabis without smoking it if you want to see how it works without the particulates in your lungs. Just be sure to hydrate, especially if you do edibles. Dehydration is the only real concern if you overdo while adjusting to the correct dose.
My DH has used medical pot for years and it has literally saved his life.

Ya, many of those ads are silly and fake. Most of the people in those happy festive ads are not even real family members. Just wanna-be actors usually playing a roll to sell products or services. Whine whenever BadDay.…it can help people get out of their down moods. That's one of the reasons we are here. Hopefully you will be able to get together with some people in your community too. The Legion Hall is another place where people have fun together. They used to have just Vets as Members but the last few years they are allowing anyone of age to join since so many of the Vets have died. My Dad was in the Army and since I was a family member any of our family was allowed to join many years ago.

Ya, sure I'll let you know what goes on with the Medical Marijuana BadDay and Celebrate Life. Not much right now since everyone is on vacation. I asked our Pharmacists and one gave me different info than the other. The younger one gave me a form that my Rheumy has to fill out and she will give me the names of the companies that sell it. The older pharmacist said that she'd fax my Rheumy to get the dosages and she'll fill it for me since they "sell" it right there. What?? I did look up the MMDispensary and talked to the receptionist there who said I had to go in and talk to the head Guy and they do need a form from the Rheumy. Interesting and confusing beginning! I'll know more after Jan 3.

My Mom had the Medical Marijuana prescribed by her Dr. years ago but she decided not to use it since she was too scared. She offered it to me but I wanted to use all the RA meds that I could before I tried M Marijuana plus my Rheumy hadn't prescribed it for me.

Recently he told me that there was a new biologic coming out soon but he would not prescribe it for me since I had Sepsis twice while taking biologics and of course that can kill a person. That is another reason he is prescribing the Marijuana for me now.

It comes in oil, capsule, tobacco, edible and vapour form, I believe. I definitely am not interested in smoking it and I don't fear the other delivery ways since the chemical that causes a high is removed.

BadDay and Celebrate Life, thank you for letting me know that you both know of people close to you that it actually works for especially your husband CL. I've never heard of the dehydration part. That is good to know. Thanks! I just hope that it works for severe RA also with minor side effects, if any.

That's good to hear that you were feeling better for Christmas Lambyloo. I'm sure that Ash appreciated your company. I truly hate those RA days when any little movement or attempt to walk is unbearable. I either let the tears fall for a bit, then get mad at RA and push myself through it or I lay back and fall asleep and try it all over again when I wake up.

I wish you much Luck in meeting new friends in 2017. Now that's a great goal!! To start off you could call one of those Volunteer agencies that call or visit people who are disabled or Senior Citizens(considered 55+) who do not get out of their homes much. They could also give you some contact information of other groups, community centers, churches, etc. that have such activities going on. Most areas have them. There are a lot of people who live alone and many have no friends because of Anxiety, shyness, lack of trust, introverts, Depression etc. Hopefully, you are still feeling better.
