Hello,

51 yo female with history of ulcerative colitis, (I'm on their forum), and heading towards an associated dx of psoriatic arthritis. Thought my horrendous aches and pains were from Humira / Stelara (failed both for UC) but have now received likely confirmation of PA.

Lots of crossover in these diseases, so I'd like to see what people have to say. Any tips or helpful self care, etc.

I am starting on Xeljanz for the UC next week, not sure if that will address the pain (different mechanism than the other two, but they didn't help either!)

So far, this is not fun, and I don't like it one bit!

Thanks and stay well
P

TP177, Xeljanz was originally used to treat psoriatic arthritis & later approved for UC. Let's hope you get a two for one deal with Xeljanz! This forum is super slow, but I wanted to reach out to you.

Good luck.

Hi Miss P,
I believe you are right about the crossover effect of these diseases. I have DDD and IBS. I am due for a colonoscopy soon and wonder if I don't have IBD or a touch of Chrons. I also suffer from diagnosed OA along with my DDD. The DDD gives me the most pain daily yet now joints are aching all over including my toes.

God bless
