CD dx in May 04' - Syptoms for 2 yrs prior
Sacroiliacitis dx in May 04' - Syptoms for 10 yrs prior

Thank you, Zippy. I will look into it. So far my doctor has prescribed methrotrexate, which I have been afraid to take because of all the possible side effects.

so i'm wondering if this would be the NEXT injectable if Enbrel and Humira fails for people with RA?  looking forward to hearing more about it.  at least researchers and scientists are coming out with more and more options!  future look bright.  hopefully in the years to come people will not have to suffer as much.  wouldn't that be wonderful.

Active, Severe RA. Crohns Disease. Chiari Malformation & Right Brain venous anomoly. AS. Emphysema. Rheumatic Lung. MVP and Tricuspid prolapse. Had Lymes disease for 10 years.
Meds: Humira 40mg every 4 days; pred; Pentasa; Imuran; dilaudid; diazepam; Avanza 30mg & too many others.

Diagnosed January 2005 - Psoriatic Arthritis/Spondylitis
-Currently taking 50mg shot weekly of Enbrel
Diagnosed May 1998 - Graves Disease
-Complete Thyroidectomy September 1998 - While 11 weeks pregnant
Other Complications - GERD/Scoliosis/Hiatal Hernia/Graves Disease of the Eyes
Current Meds -  Enbrel/Prevacid/Synthroid
Past Meds - Inderal/PTU/Prednisone/Voltaren/Feldene/Mobic/Cortisone and Steroid Shots

This looks very interesting.  However, I wonder what the advantage of Orencia would be over any of the other TNF-inhibitors?  It seems to be an infusion every 4 weeks!  Remicade is every 6-12 weeks (8 weeks on average).  So, you'd have to go in for an IV infusion fairly often.  I guess, though, that if it works, and nothing else does, than it is a wonderful drug.
