Yesterday I went for my CT Scan for the infection in my face. I came home to take a nap before work and my husband said he couldn't wake me up. The next thing i remember is being in the hospital once again with severe neck and head pain. They gave me 2 different antibiotics because they thought that I had menengitis. Turns out that I didn't but since I got home i was vomiting till about 5 am this morning and feeling like I got some kind of stomach thing going on. How is this possible?? I am so frustrated. I can't take much more. I just want to feel better.

Hey Andrea, hope you're hanging in there okay. Why on earth would they let you out of the hospital without finding out what was wrong with you? That's absolutely ABSURD. Vomiting can be caused by literally anything. But I can't believe they said "maybe menengitis, well not really, catch you later." I'm usually pretty agreeable with doctors, but I really think you need to get back there and have your husband explain to them that there is something seriously wrong with you and they need to find out what. Not being able to be woken up and not remembering stuff before the hospital is not something they should be taking lightly. Keep us posted on how you're making out. Take care.

I agree with Dave.

Being disoriented, vomiting, dizzy and as sick as THAT...plus the already existing infection is SERIOUS! Anything that is infected that is in a parameter of a triangle covering your eyes, nose and cheeks & mouth area can go straight to the head, brain, and spine and ....that = meningitis!

Be very VERY VERY careful. I would go back & be admitted for antibiotics IV and IV fluids Andrea.  If you're not waking on demand...don't eat anything! If you're vommiting and having consciousness problems you don't want to vomit when your passed out.

Be careful. Go back to the ER @ first feeling of anything that doesn't feel right.

Take care.
