I went to see my primary this afternoon. She looked at the chest x-ray I had earlier this week. Said I had peribronchial cuffing bilaterally. Said because it hit both lungs, it was likely an infection and she started me on augmentin. I need to schedule a ct scan for after I complete the antibiotic, and I got a referral to a pulmonologist. She still doesn't know exactly what it is, which is a bit alarming to me. Two doctors now have no idea what the problem is with my lungs. She described them as saran wrap lungs (they're sticky), but she has no idea why. I suppose it could be one of those opportunistic infections? I really hope it isn't the methotrexate, but I guess I won't know until I see the pulmonologist. Until then, I can't take any mtx.

Sorry about all this elcamino. Maybe, in a way, it's good they don't quite know what it is because I bet they can spot a lot of really terrible stuff pretty quick. Hopefully that antibiotic or pulmonologist will fix you right up and you can try the MTX again. I'll be thinking about you.  Keep us posted!

Actually happy to be sick and not just crazy . . .
