I have AS and the last couple of days I can't even push my vacuum around. I'm trying to do laundry today. My rheumy started me on sulfasalazine 500mg's 2x a day. I've been on it for about a week or so. I'm not noticing a change. However, patience is not one of my virtues. I've had ice on it, my tens unit on it for several hours and then bengay. Does anyone know how long it takes before it works?

hey chelle,
do you have valium? besides the Remicade (and Enbrel & Humira before) the only thing that alleviated bad AS bouts was valium. it stopped the AS spasms & rigidity/stiffness/pain.
has no one offered to start you on any of the biologic injectables?
