Hi everyone,  The reason for my question, I have crohns disease and crohns arthritis. My left side is worse then my right. I have issues with all joints, but I thought it was kinda odd that one side was worse then the other. Does anyone else have this problem? My crohns pain is also on the left side and also affects the entire bowel.

I haven't yet been dx with IBD, but I can tell you that my right side is way worse than my left side. I asked my rheumy once about that; he said that is typical of inflammatory arthritis, IBD-related arthritis included. He didn't know why, but many patients tell him that one side is more affected than the other. I still hurt in my joints on the left side, but not as bad as the right. Curiously, the GI pain I have is also on the lower right side.

Current dx: Rheumatoid Arthritis
Suspected dx: UCTD/Early Lupus
Current Meds: Enbrel, Plaquenil, Aciphex, Ultracet, Zyrtec, Allavert-D, Zantac, Tylenol PM
Past Meds: Relafen, Vioxx, Mobic, Voltaren, Sulfasalazine, Entocort, Prednisone, Humira, Reglan

I have psoiritic arthritis and my right side has been attacked much more than my left.My right elbow is deformed and won't straighten as I was diagnosed late and the disease was left untreated quite a while.I went for blood tests to my gp and they turned up negative for arthritis.I later found out that my arthritis is stero negative which means it turns up negative on blood tests but is really there. My right knee is my second worst joint and is always inflamed.I have psorisis on my right side only.It is along the hairline of my scalp and goes back an intch or so and stops right in the center of my scalp. It never goes to the left side of my scalp, just to the edge.It is on my right side of my nose, never the left. And on the right side of my privates and never the left.I could never figure out why my right side was so much worse than my left.

Hi, I have Crohn's and Ankylosing Spondylitis and like you my pains are all on the left side. Ive often wondered why myself and am having a heap of scans and xrays next week to see whats going on. I also have random joint pain and each day its a different joint. I have also had numb feet lately to add to the list.
Sorry you are suffering the same fate.
Take care

Thanks for all the replys, its very much appreciated. I thought my body was just playing tricks on me. I'm glad I'm not alone in this. Hope ya'll know what I mean, I wouldn't wish this on anyone, but it eases my mind knowing I'm not the only one with this problem. I am so glad to find this forum, I usually read but occassionally I will post.
Thanks again for the replys, and ya'll take care.
