I am a Ph.D. student from the University of Windsor looking for people with arthritis.

Do you have arthritis (any form)? How are you adjusting? Have you changed since your diagnosis? If so you may be interested in participating in an online study about the role of personal characteristics (e.g., optimism, hope) and past experiences in adjustment and coping with arthritis.

The survey is fairly short and takes about 20 - 25 minutes to complete.

Like you, I also live with arthritis, so I have tried to make the content of the survey as meaningful as possible. I hope that by completing this survey you will learn something about yourself too. By participating you will also be given the chance to win one of many $50 gift certificates from a major bookseller.

If you are interested in participating or for more information please visit the study website at:

The study is open to anyone with arthritis. All responses are private and anonymous.

Thank you!

tas, I just completed the IBD survery. Would it skew your results if I also did the Arthritis one? Many Crohnies also have some form of inflammatory arthritis as well.

Hi Keah,
Hummmm, that's an interesting question...
You are more than welcome to also complete the arthritis survey because I will be examining IBD and arthritis seperately. If the two illness groups are directly compared, any participant that completes both surveys will likely have one of their surveys screened out (i.e., only the IBD surveys will be used).
The surveys are nearly identical though, with exception to the health specific and lifestyle questions, so it might be a bit boring for you : )

Thanks for the question ; )
