Hi Curley, I get burning pains in my joints from RA. Prednisone usually helps to take away the inflammation. Hope this helps

Curley, when I have bursitis it causes burning in that area. If it is the outer side area of the hip, there is a big bursa there that can get inflamed. Does it hurt when you lie on your side?

Hey Curley,
Been a little down and out here, fighting a flare, so haven't been on the thread much....but hips are ON FIRE!! I thought it was part of the flare, but I'm going to check out this whole bursitis thing. How are you feeling?
I don't take predisone either, but take Celebrex twice a day, and if it gets bad I take arthritis strength tylenol.. have you called your doc?
If this is new pain for you, perhaps the meds your on are wearing off a bit?
Sure hope you get some relief.

Take care,
