Hi...I have been dx'd with Sjorgren's Syndrome...but only know a little about it.  I was dx'd last August..2008.  I basically put it on the back burner...most of the time, because I have Multiple Sclerosis, and that usually is my primary disease that I deal with.  I also have Hypothyroid (on meds)..Reynaud's Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Gerd's, and the Sjorgrens.  This is my question...I do have an doctor appt. tomorrow morning, in regards to this..but anyway....... I have had an enlarged lump/gland/whatever on the right side of my neck.  This has been there probably a couple months.  It causes me neck pain...it does not seem to "move"..seems stationary...but almost feels as if it's "pulling" on the tendons, etc., in the neck.  I just found info on Sjorgren's, that indicated that along with the dry eyes/nose/mouth/joint pain...that "swollen lympth glands" can be a symtom.  My question being...has anyone else experienced this? and also, should I take my information along with me to the doctor I'm seeing, tomorrow morning?  I do know, that he would be the one to do a biopsy on it, if needed....but really don't want to go through a bunch of tests, and stuff that I might not even need.

Thanks!!

Swollen lymph nodes are symptoms of very many things, so I suspect they should always be checked out to determine what is going on -- if anything can be determined.

Definitely tell your dr all of your dx, particularly the Sjogren's dx -- dunno' what kind of dr you're seeing, but I prefer to tell them what I've been dx with, and all my symptoms -- and I try not to suggest a solution to the drs -- I'd much prefer that they use their training and knowledge to come up with something rather than be influenced by what I might think something is.

Hi Katsz, you have plenty on your plate to deal with. I hope things went well at the docs. I get knots in my neck muscles from fibromyalgia that feels like glands.

Good luck!!

They told me in high school I had Sjorgrens. I"ve had that happen to me at least once a year since I was a kid. I would ask you're docter though, there are alot of things that cause a sore neck.

Hope things go well

When I have flare ups I get Parotid Gland infections. On ultrasound my Parotids look like swiss cheese. What happens is crystals form in the gland so it cannot drain. My Dr told my it is like having a kidney stone in the face. I agree it hurts that bad.

Antibiotics, pain pills, and hot compress on the area.
