Most of us with lupus don't look sick. It did strike me that maybe some of us fly with larger airports and maybe they aren't mean and nasty simply due to the volume of visitors. Was your bad experience at a small airport somewhere?
One way to get a letter from a Dr that I've sometimes found helpful is to write the letter myself and just take it in for a signature. That way it doesn't take much of their time and they can just sign quickly. You might consider listing each med you will be carrying (script
