Just wanted to introduce myself.  Married, father, mid 40's  with a lot of bipolar influences..mostly on wife's side, but I'm starting to wonder.  The psyche is an extremely complex mystery..confuses me if I think about it too much :O)
That being said, reading up on some of the posts on this board, I keep finding myself smiling and thinking "A-ha!".  It is like a whole world opening up before my eyes, and explaining a whole lot of the predicaments I've found myself in and couldn't explain before.  It also brings up a lot more questions that I'll be looking for answers to.
Thank you all for having this forum, and allowing me to learn from you.  I beg in advance for your patience with what I'm sure will be  a barrage of questions and hopefully some information as well.

Bipolar II
It is a melancholy of mine own, compounded of many simples, extracted from many objects, and indeed the sundry contemplation of my travels, in which my often rumination wraps me in a most humorous sadness. -- William Shakespeare
