Hi shy77,

Welcome to HealingWell and to the bipolar board. I think you've come to the right place. This is a very open board where you can talk about whatever's bugging you, ask questions, get perspective and advice, or just vent. about half our users are bipolar and half are spouses/partners of bipolars -- so that gives us a little flavor. Please don't feel alone. You aren't alone. There are many more people like you, and several of us are gathered here. We can definitely understand. If you don't feel your meds are doing the trick and you've been on them since January, then it's definitely time to let the doc know that. There are SOOOO many different drugs to try, there's no sense in staying on one that doesn't work right.

you don't have to be apologetic! welcome! we're all here for the same reason. some of us are BP some of us are married to people who are BP. we talk about what we need to at the time and offer advice and personal experience to others who ask it.
