I'm a bit nervous I'm going to a new Psychiatrist that my Psychologist recommended. I am going there to have an interview to get approval to have my psychological evaulation. Has anyone here every been through this?

No, that's new to me -- an interview before your psychological evaluation? Is that something your insurance is requiring?

Apparently so...

I guess they want a second opinion on if it is actually necessary.
My Psychologist thinks it is but I guess they had to have their Preferred Psychiatrist say yes we need to do this.
Anyways I'm nervous. My psychologist thinks I'm having Auditory Hullicinations along with some other things that are completely destroying my mind at the moment.
What can I expect from the evauluation?
How long will it take?
Is it verbal?
