I can't seem to make myself do anything at all.  My house needs cleaning but I just can't do it.  I do better at work as long as I stay busy but when I'm idle I can't motivate myself to do anything.  I feel like a lazy slob.  I go to my psych next week.  I don't know if a med change is the answer or what.  Anybody got any insight into this problem?

I wish I had some insight for you... because I have the same problem(s). Days come and go and I truly get nothing done. I too feel like a lazy slob... although some self-help books that I have been reading say that to people that don't understand it may seem like your lazy... but thats not true. I see my psych tomorrow and hope she will have some advice. Hang in there!

Sounds like classic depression to me. Time to take things one day at a time until your doc appt, and do what you can until then. Don't beat up on yourself. You are battling an illness right now. Take it easy. I hope you feel better soon.

Try doing it while listening to music. That's what I do when I'm feeling depressed/unmotivated. Invest in an IPOD?
