Went off my meds in December......they were not working well but big mistake.  Feel so crappy now I could crawl under a rock or be the rock!  PDoc appt tomorrow, nothing like paying someone to chew you out and that is exactly what is going to happen.  Maybe I will come away with prescription #17!  I will save all my high hopes for another day.......Have missed the forum, just barely been functioning.......such is life.
Later good people and hopefully more upbeat!

You're not alone Precious. I think it is the bane of this illness for it's
sufferers to go off meds. I hope you don't get chewed out tomorrow...yikes.
It takes courage to hang in there with those Pdoc appts. so pat yourself
on the back for going. Good luck to you and glad you're back here!

Hi Gem,

Sometimes we don't know how good we  have it until we take it away.  I know it's not the best...but it's a heck of a lot better on the meds and sometimes that is the only way we learn is by going off of them.

I don't think you will get chewed out.  I think most bipolars go through this.  It is like a classic symptom of us crying out for help and some type of regularity in our lives.  We think we just go into denial that we really need our meds to help us cope.

I wish you wellness! blush   Hang it there.  Like the previous poster said, Pat yourself on the're pulling  yourself up by your boot straps!

Thanks, I really need the encouragement.  My PDoc is a good one, a little bit aggressive sometimes but I think because he probably deals with bipolar alot, he already knows whats coming, meaning med compliance. Oh well, I am actually looking forward to going today, even if I do get chewed on a bit, I probably need it! ha ha

Thanks again,
