I just joined and am glad to read everybodies post.  Sometimes the best medicine is knowing that there are others who think and feel the way you do.  My symptoms have been out of control for almost a year now and life pretty much is in the crapper.  I was just diagnosed with Crohn's disease and have been physically ill for about a month now.  I can't handle the emotional stuff and now to have a physical disease to deal with also I think is too much.  My husband doesn't know what to do with me and I am making my kids miserable.  I am having a hard time staying on the new med my doc gave me because I feel so bad physically and my whole routine is off.  I was diagnosed bipolar in 2000 after a decade of dealing with mental health issues.  I have been on a roller coaster the last year with trying different kinds of meds after having to switch to generic depakote (insurance) and it did not have the same efficacy threw off my whole mojo.  I have put on 75 pounds, thanks to zyprexa, and hate my physical appearance.  Sorry to sound like such a downer, it has just been a bad time.  Thanks.

First and foremost, WELCOME. You will find lots of suport here and this is a great bunch of WILD AND CRAZY PEOPLE. (Sorry Steve Martin) LOLL LOL LOL LOL

For what its worth my advice is to make a list of what is most important to least important in your busy life. Than you need to pare it down to what ABSOLUTLY has to be done in order to survive. You need all the energy you can muster to get your life under control. I dont know whats involved with chrones desease, people other than me who have experience with that can speak about that. You have to get the bipolar under control first, and that means having as much energy as you can for the fight with that. It may take a solid year but once thats under control you will have a strong base to attack the other issues affecting your life.

Still dont get discouraged, this is a journey of a thousand miles, so it isnt a sprint. Its going to take time and good hard effort. And support, lots of support. Just dont give up, every day you are successful is one day that no one can ever take away from you.

I'll let others join in and offer support. Just keep positive. It will get better.
