Why do you suppose the docs have liver function and kidney function tests run every 3 nonths or so? To make sure the toxic drugs are not killing off major organs. My doc told me that the average BP person has a life expectancy of 9 years Less than a non-BP person who did not take all the BP drugs. And the older you get 60+...the worst the effect of the drugs, which makes me conclude that is why you don't see a bunch of old BP people running around.

You are right..BP or BPD are just labels...ones that unfortunately carry a stigma. I used to use BP openly in regards to me until I realized your average "normal" person cannot handle it. It is healthy to see it as just a DX or label, but keep in imind who you use this label with. I go nuts with my fmily because me and BP seem to have become interchangheable...I am trying to Make the BP label extinct in this household and be seen as just plain Mom, wife, etc. AS a licensed counselor I try hatd not to label my clients because if I do, Iwill tend to treat them accordingly. Not fair to them
