Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this forum but not new to healingwell. I have a few questions. I hope this is the correct forum to answer them.
I am currently on lexapro, I started taking it 5 years ago after feeling suicidel from my disease of ulcerative colitis and was feeling really low. I currently take 20 mgs sometimes 30 a day.
Here is the issue I have.... I have anger issues/mood issues badly. If I skip my meds lets say for 3 days if I get so angry and *****y (excuse the word) Is this concidered bipolar or something totally different.
My sister had bipolar , my dad has it. It runs in my family on both sides. My dads grandmother had it so bad she was in a metal hospital. Just to give a background.
It scares me because sometimes the lexapro doesnt stop me from getting angry at some things especially my step daughter. Should I ask my doctor to add another medication?

Thanks so much for your responses and and advise
Donna :-)

hi there!

I would write down any major mood changes in your past and what it coincides with. See a pattern? If it is concerning you, see a pyschiatrist. If nothing else, you'll be able to stop worrying about it. :)
