When I had my stress out last Tuesday and took my son to the Titanic 3D, I didn't realise I was sparking a way for us to relate.
He came back and researched it relentlessly on the net. I too did my own research. We've discussed it through the week.
Being the 100th anniversary and there being specials on it on tv; we've deepened our knowledge and talked some more.
My son has been in a really bad mood with irritability from insomnia today but this connection has seen us rise above what could have been a battle of wills day.
I feel so much compassion for those people either lost their lives or had their lives forever changed, 100 years ago.
Life is full of tragic incidents but, just now, may we give a thought to the people affected by a catastrophe as it marks its centennial anniversary.
May the 2207 people onboard, rest in peace, regardless of when their lives ended.
