help! is there a place on the internet to help me look at symptoms for bi polar. my husband age 43. is maybe ready to go to the dr. for help. like so many times before he has said that and then the day of the appointment he backs out. he goes from being nice to angry in a matter of a monent over things that normally would not matter to him. i have nowhere to go but here. when the anger starts i cantget him to think or even breath. he will get in a auto and drive. after it was over today he said he almost black out. i think he did cause he didnt remerber driving down the road.  i'm scared... now he's asleep and has been for 5 hrs.
he is enbrassed now. but it will start all over again. happy laughing then something will tick him off usually me. even at work when he starts to climb people will notice the change in his face. he will come home and even the dog will tick him off.  he is a wonerful person that i love. this can happen more than once in a day up and down. today it happen 2xs but he caught himself the second time. his brother was dx with bi polar.
if the is a place on the net then maybe i can get him to look at it. THANK YOU

Sorry Kim to hear of your dilemma.  Anyhow, he sounds like he definately shows signs of mood swings often. Then there is the family history with his brother of BP. Is your husband on any meds at all? Has he ever seen or talked to any medical professional before about this,or problems related to this? I would be worried about the fact that he blacks out , do you maen while he is driving? That is dangerous if that is the case. I myself have trouble remembering (once in the vehicle an  driving) where it is I am going, pretty much due to my meds. Kinda scary even so asking my three yr. old , where were we going. I constantly tell her step by step in the day what we are going to do, just for that reason. I am not sure what you are wanting your husband o look at, to start just punch in bipolar and google it. I believe someone else asked this not to long ,pyschnurse might know a website for you and your husband if he is willing to look at. Honestly though, he really needs to be seen, even if it is to rule out things. Sending smiles and good luck!
