Hey! I have been having a lot of problems with seroquel so you are not alone at all. I tapered down from 600mg to300mg in a month, my doctor then advised me to go from 300mg-0mg the following month. I did what he said but after 5 days of being so sick I thought I was going to die and being really depressed ever since I got off of it. Here's the scary thing, when I went back on it my health started to decline. I got an ear infection right when I started it but took some anti-biotics and it was gone. A week later I started to become dizzy so I went back to the doctor and everything was fine. Literally 3 days later I started to get more dizzy and lightheaded, I had tachycardia and was shaking(it was not due to anxiety) and I couldn't stop sweating. I went to the DR. He took. My blood sugar and it was normal(86),checked my electrolytes and they were good, he did an EKG which was fine as well. He told me to go to the ER for further testing so I did. My heart kept fluctuation as well as my blood pressure but they said it was nothing to worry about. I got a c/t scan, blood tests, and another EKG, all were fine besides my blood sugar which skyrocketed up to 209. Let told me to see my PCP to get my A1C checked and I did and it came back normal. After that I was told to see a neurologist. 2 days after the ER I started getting some scary symptoms; extreme fatigue, numbness in legs, hands, and feet. Severe sweating And cold sweating on my hands and feet, gait problems, body jerking(not when falling asleep), tremors, off balance, stuff muscles, hard to walk, and at one point I couldn't walk up the stairs because I could hardly lift my legs and my whole body felt heavy, there are more symptoms as well. The severity of all these fluctuates through out the day, there are times when I'm okay, but also times where my body will keep jerking and I'm shaking, I get so exhausted I can't move, I just stare with my mouth open and it's hard to talk when it reaches these points, I get tremors and headaches as well. I usually end up crying when all of this happens.
So, anyway I went to a neurologist and he ordered me to get an MRI because MS runs in my family, so I did and there were only a couple of abnormalities that he said they shouldn't be causing too many problems and that we need to watch it but other than that the MRI's were fine. I had a EEG and while that was happening when the strobe lights came on I was shaking and my eyes were moving all over the place and I felt like I have no control over my body what so ever. Once I was done with that test I got up and I couldn't walk my body was twitching and jerking, I couldn't lift my legs and I was so exhausted I could hardly tap or move. When I went back to see my neurologist yesterday he said the EEG was normal. All my blood work and EMG were normal as well. I'm confused because I haven't been able to work in 2 weeks and its scary and frustrating that all of this is happening and it won't stop. I feel like this may be because of going back on the seroquel. It all started once I went back on. If anyone had any help it advice I will gladly except it. I'm so sorry it's so long and jumbled.
