Hello,

I am new to all of this. I have been suffering from depression for over 30 years. I knew I was having manic episodes but I would tell anyone know. Was recently diagnosed as bipolar. I am taking Abilify 5mg (but I split the pills in half), Wellbutrin 150mg and Klonopin 200mg 3 x a day. My anxiety is still bad... My good days are far and few in between. My bad days lasts for weeks and by high days last for week and make me go broke. Is this life long? My PDoc haven't really explained anything except the need for me to take my medication. I am just all over the place...

Hello nikki,

Welcome to the forum :-)!

How are you doing today? How was the weekend for you?

I too suffer from depression. It can be really tough sometimes.
Did your doctor advise you to split the Abilify? Just wondering...

Are you attending therapy sessions or any form of counselling? I attended therapy for my depression. I found therapy very helpful. I learned many coping techniques for the challenges that comes with depressions and other illnesses and disorders.
I would suggest you see a therapist. Usually, both meds and therapy work together to treat Bipolar.

Kindly feel free to check out our resources area where you can find helpful information:
