has anyone tried these two together for bipolar ii? been on lamictal for a while and it helps greatly, but i still have some depression. i am also afraid to drive my car very far, stand in lines, go in public, etc. i think my doctor might add wellbutrin. i have heard some great things, but i am afraid of violence that i have read it can cause. thanks.

I was on Lamictal for almost 2 years in the past and it worked well for a while, but it wasn't the best med for me.  I took Wellbutrin for about 3 weeks and didn't react well to it.  But I've also taken Lexapro for a short while and didn't do well on it either.  SSRIs are just not for me.
From what you describe it is more of anxiety than depression.  But that is not too say you are not experiencing both.
Everybody is made up of different chemicals and what works for one may not work for another person.  I have heard of people doing well on Lamictal alone, or combined with Wellbutrin or other meds.
Best Wishes!  :-)
