I am sorry about the Cubs!
I was hoping to place a friendly wager in a Cubs vs. Indians World Series!
I hope things are going well and that you are feeling great lately!

Yeah yeah yeah. Now you say that. Hmph. (I actually don't follow sports at all, but I live outside of Chicago, and can feel the waves of sorrow from here.)

Hey Casem and Serafena,
Yep,... the last four days around here have been full of emotions! My husband and I are huge Cub fans. It was really, really hard to watch the games with him. He was SOOO ANGRY!!! I just kept my cool, hoping for the best even up until the very last minute. He couldn't understand WHY I would want to continue to watch the last game!
He and I have different opinions. He is being a very sore loser right now(IMO)....I on the other hand feel that the Cubs have brought me some REALLY GOOD baseball to watch throughout the summer! I was so happy for them that they clinched their division. ~Go Cubs Go~....but hey...they got to the playoffs and it didn't happen for them. But I am not ashamed of my cubbies. Arizona was beating them all year...and they have a lot of young hitters on that team that can really hit the ball!  We haven't done that lately.
It's sad....and it's always a disappointment when your team doesn't do well. That's life. And as TRUE Cub fans ALWAYS say....."There's always next year!" tongue
Anyway, that's the reason I missed Chat on Thursday. I was so excited waiting for the game to come on that I completely forgot about it.
Health wise...I could be better. My crohns has flared up a bit and that is keeping me at a slower pace where I just mope around a lot because I need the rest. That's all I can concentrate on. I don't have energy to do/deal with I am on "Low Profile" at home.
Thanks for asking....Good Luck to the Indians Casem!!! They're looking HOT! ~Go Indians Go~!!! yeah ....Hey, what's with all them bugs???

I am sorry to hear about your Crohns...I think you should just take it easy, relax tonight, and watch the Indians sweep the Yankees!

The bugs are mayflies, or Canadian soldiers, or midges. There are a million different names for them, but we get them in very warm, humid weather off of the lake. In that 8th inning, there was no wind, and b/c they tend gravitate to higher places with a lot of light....they headed for Jacobs field and the pitching mound!

Wasn't it disgusting? I felt like the bugs were on me, I was itching and scratching. I felt bad for the Yankees pitcher....but not that bad. We had to deal with it, too, and we WON!!! Yeah!!

Have a nice relaxing evening. Don't worry....Cleveland fans have been saying "there is always next year" since 1948. I think 2007 is the year of the Indians....and 2008 is the year of the Cubs....wouldn't that make it 100 yrs. since their last world series win? What a celebration!
