I AM SO PROUD OF YOU FOOTBALLFAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will make it through the adjustment, and if it is NOT the right AD in the end, then the doc will switch it to another. But be patient as your system adjusts. I was put on a medications 20 years ago for about 3 years. The first 5 weeks I felt miserable....so unlike myself. But as soon as I hit 5 weeks....POOF...suddenly ALL the side effects were gone and all the benefits STAYED. I trust this will happen for you so HANG IN THERE.
Dutchie, the best thing for you to do is set your expectations realistically. Obviously going back to school and juggling your life is bound to cause SOME stress. So....expect some so it does not catch you off guard, and have a game plan in place for when it is there. What are the steps you will do to keep yourself calm and in check during those moments? i.e...Examples of things to do - Breathe, call FBF and momentarily vent, or call your mom or a friend, stop and re-prioritize quickly, ask for support and delegate (Ex: ooops...I'm running late and the girls need to be picked up, I'll just take out my list of people I can call last minute and ask them to go get the girls, I will meet them at home in say 1 hour) - the key is to make a list w/ phone numbers, keep it with you in your purse, have called them in advance and gotten their agreement that they are alright that you utilize them this way [maybe grandparents/friends/ siblings...etc. who lives close by...etc]. Get a few names of people who can step in and help at a moments notice. Then as things come up, and they always do, you are covered and can minimize the level of stress it causes you right away. I did things like this with my FIL when he was alive and it was GREAT. He loved feeling useful and feeling like he was supportive to us and our busy lives. Also, get some menus from healthy, reasonable cost restaurants that deliver. Make a file, so when you havent' shopped, or forgot to stop at the store on your way home (I've done that)...you can simply pull out the menus and order in...or pick up El Pollo or some such thing. You'll do great. Good luck Dutchie, I KNOW you will do GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HUGS TO YOU BOTH....LFW
