I've tried calling you several times, but couldn't get in touch with you. You are always in my thoughts and prayers as I worry so much about you. What's the latest?

Hi Sis..

Well, The past month or so has been you know I was part of a study that started on February 14th.  Almost immediately I started having a ton of side effects. almost all on the list except 1 or 2...after 5 weeks of adjusting things etc. they stopped and took me off the study. Then, not sure what happened but I started having alot of pain in my arm that I have had the 6 surgeries on..went to see the Ortho Onc and it turns out that the 2 bottom screws broke near the head of screw & that is causing the pain. I may have to have surgery but they cant do that until it has been a month since last chemo treatment....geez..what a pain. The Dr gave me an anti inflamitory for the swelling and that does seem to help. Pain isnt as bad. I am exhausted all the time. I see the Ortho Onc on Tuesday & reg Onc on Thursday to try & figure out the next plan...I am so sick of all of this...My whole body is in pain. Sorry I am complaining..... confused   I will update you at the end of the week after I see both Oncs....

Saw your post to Joyce. I agree with Joyce..keep the old date. Just continue chewing that gum. We are all so proud of you. You have done a great job. Plus I want to hear some more of your great stories...

I love you lady...

I just read your post and I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you dear one. I don't get to HW very often but when I do, I am ALWAYS looking for an update on you. Please know that I am sending you hugs and lots of prayers your way. You certainly don't deserve all that you have been dealt with my friend.

Hang in there.........I love you friend.

Oh, Cathi, I just know you deserve a a good way. I am so freakin' sorry that you had such a rough time with chemo and now the screws in the arm, just one thing after another. You are in my thoughts too each day, please know that you're always in my heart.

Cathi, You are in my prayers and in my thoughts each day, and I will continue to ask God for His blessings and mercy on you. Know that all of us are thinking of you and praying that the pain will subside soon and they will fix your arm. Pain stinks, no doubt about it, and it's time you got some rest from that!

Hi, Cathi. My goodness, girl, you SHOULD be tired. I had high hopes that this study would be an answer to all of our prayers for you. And your arm...oh, Cathi. Somewhere out there, there is something that is going to work for you.

Take care, and if I can do anything, please let me know!

So sorry about the bad side effects, Cathi. And, my gosh, what problems you have had. So sorry. I think of you so often and wish things were going better for you. Like Bev said, somewhere out there, something will help. Hugs and prayers, Lauri (dxed 04/11/1996)
