Denean, Ohio, bad mammogram, worse ultsrasound yesterday. Calcifications in 3 spots, 2 masses 1 cm and 2.6 cm....seems to be contained in left breast but possible lymph node involvement. Biopsy tomorrow. Have a super hubby beautiful 2 1/2 yr if this if from pregnancy, can't take it back. The first few days are HELL. Walking around in a panic stricken daze. Not sure how I'll ever get my feet under me. Oh and Ulcerative Colitis diagnosis Sept '92 but that has been well managed for the most part. Not looking forward to drugs that make me nauseated/hurt my delicate colon. :(

This is danny. I've never joined a forum before. I'm now 65, I discovered a lump in a self-exam in 2/02, after just one year of HRT and no family history of cancer. I was lucky to only need radiation, tamoxifen, and femara. It's been 10 years.

I have a terrific husband who unfortunately has had prostate cancer, throat cancer, and skin cancer. He's come through them like a champ, thank goodness!

We have two wonderful daughters and three terrific grandchildren. And six cats.

I'm Afterglo from Ontario, Canada. One day after my 70th birthday, I received the news that I have breast cancer in my right breast. I had all four of the core biopsies test malignant.

The size of the tumour was 2.5 cm and had a lumpectomy in July, 2012.

Pathology report noted Stage 3 with triple negative receptors.

I had the first visit to my oncologist on August 30. He advised 4 chemo treatments one week apart and then 15 radiation sessions.

I have multiple other illnesses as well: Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Spinal Stenosis, Ataxia, Peripheral Neuropathy...

I work full time & am an executive professional. I had my first mammogram last week. I got a call today from my doctors office, saying I had to have further imaging due to abnormal/incomplete results. My appt. is scheduled for this Friday. - but am desperately trying to keep it all in perspective.

Sue, 59. WNY. Mom of two, gram to 3, wife of 40 yrs. diagnosed with ER +, Stage 1A invasive ductal cancer May 16th. I had a partial mastectomy on June 4th with 2 sentinel lymph nodes removed. With no symptoms, no lump palpable, normal mammograms for 40 years, no family history, no dimpling, no changes at all....I was reeling from shock and I guess I still am. I'm trying to see the blessings through the fear. The tumor, 1.3 CM, was removed with clear margins and my lymph nodes were clear/ negative. My oncotype score was 20 and no chemo is recommended. I start arimadex and full breast radiation next week. God knows! :-)
