I just read your post about your mom and her refusing treatment for recurrent cancer. I am so sorry you are in this situation. It must be so hard to be so far away right now. I would call the American Cancer Society (you can find a phone number in your phone book if you are in a metro area or look online for a toll free number) with your quetions. Check with the hospital in the area where she lives and ask for referral to a hospice program. See if the hospital or county has a social worker who can refer you to services for your mom. She is going to need assistance as her disease progresses. I hope there is someone close that will be there for her. Know that we are here for you in whatever way we can support you.  Come by anytime. Hugs, Lauri
