I got a hold of one of the ladies that were in contact with Viv on ivillage. I was sorry to find out that she had passed last December. Here is the e-mail she sent me;
I am so sorry I didn't know about you. I would have let you know. I didn't
find out until a day or so after the funeral. Her sister, Amy, was supposed
to let me know. I believe I found out by reading a post on the Frugal
Kitchen. Viv and I used to IM everyday. Yes, Viv passed away last
December. I am curious about how you found me. I am so glad that you did.
This email is going to be leaving me because we are going to have to change
our Internet Provider.

Here is the Obituary that I copied from an online newspaper.
STRATTON, Vivi-Anne L. - Of Davison, age 59, died Sunday, December 16, 2007
after a courageous battle with cancer. Vivi-Anne was born in Kittanning,
Pennsylvania November 12, 1948 and had resided in the Davison-Flint area
since the 1960's. She was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1966.
Surviving are: daughter, Stacy (Ed) Kern of Flint; granddaughter, Codi;
brother, David Stratton of Grand Blanc; sisters, Karen Hecker and Donna
Reidell; brothers, Charles Hooks, Mike Hooks and Richard Hooks, all of
Pennsylvania; brother, Larry Hooks; sisters, Mary Wheeler, Anita Murray and
Ginger Cullens, all of Texas; brother, Eddie Yockey of Wisconsin; sister,
Amy Morningstar of Florida; and brother, Donald Hooks; numerous nieces and
nephews; and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by
brothers, Alan and William Hooks; and her parents. Family will receive
visitors from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home with cremation to
follow. Those desiring may make contributions to the family.

The sweet thing is that Viv's daughter, Stacy, has been able to correspond
by email with me.
I am so sorry that you didn't know any earlier. If there are others on your

I do believe that Viv's passing was a huge surprise to all of her family.
She must have had more suffering than we realized, so she is no longer in
