Our family doctor and the oncologist talked after input from the Home Health Nurse and decided it was time.  The onc called the morning while the nurse was here and we all talked that he had not improved any with chemo and last week's Taxol about did him in, so no more treatment.  He is very confused this morning and back in the Navy.  The Navy owns our house is what he is saying now.  Oh dear.
Chris is on her way back.  Carolyn and Chuck took the news hard when I told them.  It is very sad, but it is part of life.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.  Love MK

Oh, MK, I am so sorry to hear this. It is so hard to see someone you love go downhill so fast, and to have cancer strike so many of your loved ones... well, I know how hard that is. Please know that you are being held close in my thoughts.

Love and hugs...

Mk, I am so sorry to read this. I came here to post news of Cathi and then I see this. My heart goes out to you. I am so glad you have such a wonderful family to standby your side. I hope you know my heart goes out to you and know my thoughts and prayers go out to you and everyone else dealing with this vicious disease. Hugs, Joyce

Oh, MK, I am so sorry that things have taken this turn. I can't imagine how difficult the decisions must be at this time. I remember my Dad as his life ebbed and it was so sad to see him failing knowing there was nothing we could do. Know that the love and support of many surrounds you now and in the coming days and weeks. Sending big hugs, Lauri

MK, you've been on my mind this week, but I never thought to come here to read the board. I am so very sorry to read this news about Chuck.

You've been so strong for all of us, always here when we needed you. I'm hoping that the extra help from Hospice will make this journey for you and for Chuck a bit easier.

You are in my thoughts and always in my prayers.

As ever, Luci

I've been off the board for so long and I got an e=mail from Kitty today to let me know about Cathi, so needed to check in.

I'm so sorry for what you & your family are going through. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

To comfort you, Chuck and family. God is with you.

The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want;
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters;
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil;
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
