Went for the endoscopy of my stomach and found nothing significant, just some esophageal and gastric irritation and the Nexuim does seem to be finally alleviating now that I'm not puking so much.  Between the Darvocet and then the Ativan here at home I'm ready to zone out,  What a lovely feeling.  I did manage to order the kids some school clothes so they don't look like hobos.  And of course since I was on line I ordered a new Barbie collectible doll, a pretty pink brooch and pink sweater from Ann Taylor, and then a ton of "feel-good" bath and beauty junk from Sephora.   Just so I can get som presents in the mail!
Well, my typing is going by the way of my brain on all these drugs.  Time. for a nap.

Hi Carla,
I remember I was zoned out on the couch on Ativan on my 50th birthday. Turning 50 didn't bother me a bit. So glad that you are beginning to get some relief. Love, Di

You sound as if you're doing better, and I am sure the 'retail therapy' helped also....I love Barbie dolls! I don't collect them, but buying them for my daughter has been reminds me of playing with them as a little girl. How old is Barbie now? 40 or 50?

Big hugs,

Retail therapy! I just indulged myself for the first time in a long while. Glad you're feeling better. Thank God for those meds! I'm praying the worst is behind you.

Bumping this one too....I think these are the last we heard from Carla. I just can't believe it...just like Joannie and Pat, we knew they were sick, but they passed so very quickly. And then look at Mel, ever our Energizer Bunny....hanging on and still defying the odds.

Gosh, we have had so many losses lately. As we approach the holidays, let's all give extra thanks for all we have.

Believe me, I am VERY thankful for the time I have been given. It scares me to see these posts, yet it makes me relieved that they don't EVER have to deal with the pain of cancer again. I am looking forward to the Holidays. This is my favorite time of year. I am blessed just to be here.
