I have suffered breast cancer at my youth, 20-year-old. At first I had severe pains in one of my breasts, and there was also a some-what large and hard lump in the same one. However my other breast seemed perfectly normal. I don't know if this had anything to even do with it.I went to the doctor, I would like to know what this meaned, and if it meaned that i might have breast cancer. Was it even possible to have breast cancer at age 20?
Fortunately, I went to the doctor and get an accurate diagnosis and correct treatment. I am fine now.I have paid 200% attention to breast health and how to prevent breast cancer.
http://breastcancer.dormitory.com is one of the websites I stick to and it help to update me with the latest breast health advice and relevant videos.

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis at such a young age. Please be aware, though, that there is no "cure" for breast cancer... we all hope we are "fine," but at best, we are "no evidence of disease." There also isn't a way that I know of to prevent breast cancer. We can be vigilant about our health in general, and we can do things to decrease our risk factors for cancer, but like all cancers, there is no way to absolutely prevent breast cancer. We all hope to see the day when breast cancer can not only be prevented, but cured!

I know you said you were 20 at diagnosis...just wondering how old you are now?

One of the nice things about healingwell is that we can share our experiences with others who have "been there." Somehow, firsthand knowledge of a disease or a treatment is very different from looking at it from a scientific viewpoint that an article or a video might give. I hope you will feel free to share your experiences with us.
