While I was building my sailboat I was diagnosed with a cancer, as you would expect I was overcome; then I met so many good hearted people whose life has been totally devastated from the treatments as well as the disease and I felt ashamed for feeling sorry for myself, then I felt more ashamed because so many of these people are often abandoned, put off, or neglected by those they trusted their health care to. I started a non profit to help cancer patients in their time of need and am promoting this cause with a world wide event. My sailboat, Amnesty, will be the flagship escorting a fleet of boats carrying cancer survivors on a trip around the Earth. The non profit will offer moral, spiritual, and financial support for cancer patients. I'd like to post the web site,( I'm not selling anything there)
I will be flying two banners across the fae of the Earth, one is a tribute to loved ones we lost to cancer and the other is a salute to survivors. There is no cost or charge to add a person to either list, that would be beyond reproach. This is a new site but we are going to make a world wide impression, it is www.thevictorylap.org We are open to hearing new approaches and treatments, your sugguestions will be appreciated. By the way, everything so far with this site, boat, and cause has come out of my pocket-not from donations.
Thank you and God bless

Thank you Jane, I had the choice of being an inspiration or a statistic; I chose to take one of the most negative situations and flip it into something that will help lots of folks. My site is new, but even Lance Armstrong began in a similar spot! If there's anythig I can do to help please feel free to ask.

My best
