I just learned tonight that she lost her 12 year battle. I knew she had lung mets but never knew how serious it had become.
I credit her for saving my life. She was diagnosed at 30 in 1998, a year before mine. But I had already discovered my lump and had not yet seen a doctor, when I saw her on the news, talking about her diagnosis and treatment. I was inspired. When she commented that she had no idea she could get breast cancer at 30, it was a hit over the head for me, as I had no real idea that it could strike so young.
So sad.....another angel....
