My husband belongs to an Optimist Club and their creed is really something, so I thought I'd share it with all of you in hopes that it can be of help.  Here goes....
Promise yourself....
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
Isn't that wonderful?
Love and hugs,

Kathy....That IS wonderful.  Wish I could be that kind of person myself...but sometimes, it is just too darned much fun being bad!
My mom passed away when I was seven. She was the same age I am now, and I remember most the people who, for lack of anything truly meaningful to say, told me, "only the good die young."  I guess that's why I'm still here!
Anyway, thanks for reminding us that there really are those people out there who aspire to higher things.
Love and hugs...
P.S.  I'm one of desertdreaming's cinti bunch.  Tell her we NEED to do dinner!  Soon!

I knew of the Optimists Clubs but never heard the creed, goals or whatever you would call it. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone could live up to these goals. Thanks for sharing. Hugs MK
