Ladies, I am so lost for words. With every note I read, I could truly tell you love my wife. So Sweet, so reserved but yet had the greatest capacity for love and understanding that I have ever seen. I am enriched by her as some of you were. She was just my hippy chick, real simple folk. Thank you and if you knew Mel like I did than you know this is not gloom and doom for us. We will never just be survivers, us just like you ladies that must journey on and fight the cause like Mel, this is just a cross road that we choose to live in the memory of those good ladies that used to post here, those who the master now dines at his table and who are the angles around us now. We are not alone if we remenber. I am truly sorry that some must walk this road in the manner you ladies must. But those of you I've meet and all of you that " arcticgirl spoke of and loves, I pray for you to walk in courage, keep spreading the love, fighting the good fight, and telling our storys of how this deisase deals a bitter cup that we must face or die and Mel refused to let breast cancer kill her. She lived her life while she could, in the throws of love and laughter she out on her terms breast cancer was only the vehical that got her here, she was ready, and at peace with God. I love you all, my sons are gratful that Mel had some of the best love in the world sent to us through yall. I miss her so much...........

Condelences to you and the family...and wishing that Mel's peace rains onto you and your boys, for a smooth transition into the next phase of the journey.

Our Energizer Bunny has gone to rest now, and we are all enriched for having known her.

Oh, Michael... what an amazing message. It is obvious that you & Mel both had that glorious, optimistic spirit. I never met Mel, but her influence here will always be with me. Her smile in the midst of such hardship was truly inspirational. I pray that you, Kai & Ian have peace. I know she will be smiling down on us all...

Oh Michael, I am so glad that you posted. Jo-Ann and I wil be there for Melody's service Monday unless there is a terrible ice storm and that does not look like it is in the forecast. Yes we all truly loved and admired your special wife. She still is the best in our hearts. So many of us did have the opportunity to meet and hug her in person, but those that didn't knew her just as well through her words and actions. We are all going to miss her so much. Hugs and prayers for you Guthrie boys and your entire family. Mary K.

Michael and sons,

You have my deepest sympathy. I was not one of the lucky ones to have met Mel in person, but I feel like I knew her through her wonderful posts.

Saying a prayer for you that you will get through this tough time.

God Bless,

Guthrie Boys,
What a message of love.  The Lord is with you and your children and family.  There is a time for mourning. "Blessed are those that mourn".
I am very sad at the loss of Mel and I will have you and yours in my prayers.
