I have to share with all of you that when we got to the part of the mammogram where she left the room to see if we needed more pictures, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and I could feel all of your calming thoughts and prayers.  I even peeked and was looking around the room for any stray pink feathers.  The tech returned and didn't need more pictures.  So off to ultrasound I went.  I told the tech that I was really having mixed feelings about this - on the one hand I didn't want her to find anything but on the other hand I wanted her to find something so that I would know that I wasn't crazy.  She laughed and said "How about if we find something and it's benign?"  So she found a cyst.  Woohoo!!!
The surgeon says that it's very small and normal.  However, we continued our last discussion about the prophalactic mrm and he says that this will definitely ensure that there is no problem with approval from insurance.  This is the second scare in 6 months and I really don't think that I can handle a third scare any time soon.  We're off to the lake on vacation until after Christmas this afternoon.  Once I get back I'll sit down with my boss and see when it's convenient to take the time off.  Thank goodness I can relax and enjoy the holidays.  Thanks for all of your support!

Glad to hear of your good news!!!!!  I wish I had a double mastectomy in the beginning and then maybe I wouldn't be just finishing up with this stuff again.....oh well, you can't second guess it, can you?  Enjoy the holidays - I plan to - and then I begin reconstruction on Dec. 29th in Jacksonville.  Hubby seems to be looking forward to this - I think he considers this His present!!!  HA HA

Could there be a better Christmas present than b-9???? Don't think so. Yippee from sunny North Carolina!
