As it is known that prevention is better than cure; cancer is one of those modern society diseases without having 100% cures. However by maintaining healthy lifestyle and physical fitness, the risk of breast cancer may be reduced. Here are some useful guidelines regarding lifestyle and diet for women in order to reduce the chances of breast cancer:-

Breast Feeding

Breast feeding to your baby is quit normal practice and should never be avoided it. Some ladies hesitate to breast feed the babies assuming it harmful to their breast beauty; it is wrong. Modern research disclosed that breastfeeding is very much useful to reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Be Slim and Smart.

For good health role of healthy and balanced diet can not be ruled out. But always avoid fats, being overweight and obese. With increasing age try to get rid of extra weight as research study reveals obesity in women as a risk to breast cancer. Physical exercise is necessary for active life.


The risk of breast cancer increases in women who can not give birth before the age of thirty for any reason. So it is advisable to give birth before thirty and unnecessary delay may increase the risk of breast cancer.

Alcohol Drinking

Alcohol drinking is harmful not only for general health but it may also increase the risk of breast cancer development. Avoid alcohol or reduce its quantity and frequency in your lifestyle.

Sun Bathing

Sun bath is useful for health in cold weather countries, but frequent breasts exposure to direct sunlight for long time may increase the risk of breast cancer as well.

Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are a big source of antioxidants and fiber, having ability to reduce the risk of cancer. So include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet in order to lower breast cancer risk.

Improve Fiber intake

Fiber is also helpful to reduce breast cancer risk, which may be consumed by including diet from whole grains.

Breast Inspection

Ladies are advised to inspect their breasts for any lump, nodule or any deformity in shape regularly at least monthly. Mammography should have to do for ladies of age fifty and above annually in order to early diagnose of breast cancer if any.

Family History

Commonly the chances of developing breast cancer increase in case close relative like sister or mother is already affected. Such ladies should take extra care to avoid the risk of breast cancer.

Positive Mental Behavior

positive thinking affects the mental health, try to avoid, anger, hate, jealousy, grief, moroseness and unnecessary fears. Be positive and try to be happy with other’s joys and develop, warm, strong and lust-less relations with your relatives avoiding being victim of loneliness.

These are nice tips for good health, in general. But those of us who are familiar with breast cancer, inflammatory or otherwise, know that there is no known way to "prevent" breast cancer, short or not having breasts. I think I would have pretty well fit into all of the above categories... breast fed, had my babies young, never drank much, never sunbathed, never weighed over 120, except when I was pregnant... could have eaten more fruits and veggies, perhaps! And so on. I was diagnosed at 36. Simple facts: there is no known way to prevent breast cancer. There is no known cure for breast cancer. And personally, I look forward to the day when we have definitive preventions and cures! Thanks for sharing.

well thnx for sharing some very important things about cancer vid us....but i have also something want to share tht vid u all too,,,,
The best way to prevent cancer is to avoid different risk factors, such as estrogen therapy, fatty diets and alcohol. Discover how regular exercise can help reduce the risk of cancer.
