I have no idea why, and I was never fortunate enough to meet her but this morning in the shower I got so tickled thinking about Julie and of all things thongs!  It's funny the things that pop in my head sometimes.  I think it's also good to know that Julie can still make me laugh.
BTW, I don't wear those things except on my feet!  LOL

I found my pictures from St Louis and Cincy the other day and have a wonderful one of Julie. I am still looking for other pictures so I can try and get them on the computer instead of boxes here and there. Jo-Ann and I keep talking about doing a website in memory of all those friends we have lost. Hugs MK

I have a beautiful picture of Julie by my computer. I did not have much of my own personal relationship with her, outside of the village, but I felt so connected to her and so moved by her passing, nothing else has impacted me like that did. I still hear from her mother from time to time. She made teddy bears out of her husband's flannel shirts, to give to the grandkids. She sent me a picture and boy is she one cool lady....easy to see where Julie got her grace from.

Julie and I were diagnosed around the same time, within a couple days of each other. Her battle was so short but fierce, I still shake my head and wonder why her and why me.

Isn't it that Simon & Garfunkel song where they sing "..there by the grace of G-d, Go I"....

Thanks for the memory. Just thinking of Julie, can bring a big smile to my face. Oh my, those chats with her about the thong and "other" things. LOL She was one lovely, spunky, quick witted, and wonderful lady.

Lori, her mother sounds like such a treasure too.

For those in STL at least, remember the album Julie brought of her road with BC?  Pictures she had her DH take of her along the way through all of her surgeries and her bandages, etc.  I remember telling her that was the last thing I wanted or thought of was pictures of myself during that time.  She told me that she did it so she could remember every step of it because she knew she would easily forget when things got better - which is pretty true for me.  I'll always remember how good she looked - even in the worst of times.

Also remember her and Ann G turning into the hotel driveway in STL waving at us as we sat looking out the windows that first day.

Awwww the memories!  Miss her and all those who have gone on to a better place where they can rest in peace.

Love and prayers to all,

Julie and Ann were the first people I met too. They were talking outside of my hotel room just after I checked in and I heard Ann say Juliejar. It was fun trying to figure out who we were. I haven't seen Ann in a long time either. I used to meet her, dazzzled and Kano in Chicago but I am usually on the bus now or in a hurry for a family get together. I hope to see them again soon.
