I had a call from my best friend in Louisiana. She is like a sister and was one of my lifelines through my dx & treatment . Her children are as much mine as hers. Her 14 year old daughter found a lump last week. They went to the dr. she sent them for an ultrasound. They were not satisfied with that so now she is going for a BIOPSY. She is 14 !

They see the surgeon Ties. to determine if they will do a needle or core biopsy.

I am watching Becky and all she is going through and I am about to lose it if my angel girl has to go through any part of this horrible hateful disease.

Her mom held my hand and kept telling me I was going to be fine as her father was dying of lung cancer. She took care of my children when I was too sick to do it myself and reassured them that mommy was just feeling bad. Now I am 700 miles away and can't put my arms around her and tell her that her baby will be ok.

This whole thing really sucks, big time.

I am sorry I feel liike everytime I come here I am letting loose on you all but I know that no one else gets it.
I am starting to feel like everywhere I turn this disease is surrounding me.

Thanks for letting me vent.
Please remember my angel in your prayers. Her name is Ashley.

Love & HUgs,

PS That quote I use as my signature includes Ashley. She and her brother Ian are my children too.

Oh my God how scary! My heart goes out to all of you. I cannot even imagine having my daughter go through this at 14! Even if it is benign, which chances are it is, it is just too scary for words in this case. You are all in my prayers and I am sending mega {{{{HUGS}}}} too.

I am so sorry this is happening. PCE will be ready to go on Tuesday. Hope we travel down there for great news. We can go to Bourbon St. and dance to celebrate. Praying hard that we have good news. L&H and Prayers. Joyce

Surely not a 14 year old, surely not. Is there a history of breast cancer in the family? I don't believe lung cancer is one that is tied to breast cancer. I'm hoping and praying that this is some fluke thing, not breast cancer. This would be too, too much for anyone to deal with. 24 and 34 are way too young to deal with this mess. Hugs for you and your friends, MK

Good grief, only 14! No one should have to go through this at that age, or any, but especially that young. Prayers flying that all will be well, Angela. Hugs for you and this young girl, Lauri

I am praying for your friend, her family and for you. 14 is so young. Hopefully it will just be something with "growing up". Even though you are 700 miles away, the love that you have for them will reach and surround the family. They will feel your hugs, support and prayers. They know that you are there for them.

My prayers are with you and your wonderful friends! Maybe it is just a benign fibroid. Even that young, I had really lumpy breasts! The biopsy will be scary for her, and I'll keep her in my prayers, and you too! Hang in there!

OMG!!! What is going on? Well, this has to be something else. I'm going to pray hard for Ashley's lump to be B9. I hope she doesn't have to go through any more "doctor stuff" than necessary. I'm also sending prayers to her family, and to you as well.

We'll all get through it somehow.

It just can't be.  That poor little girl, she is supposed to be having fun with her friends not having a scare like this.  My heart goes out to all of you dealing with this.  Please know I'm sending caring hugs and prayers for you and lifting Ashley up to make it through this tough time.

Dear Angela,

I just wanted you to know that I have a 14 year old niece that when she was 13, had a mammogram with a lump found.  She had a needle biopsy and everthing turned out fine.  BUT, no young girl should have to go through such a scare so early in life.  It has had a lasting impact on her as she has three aunts that have been dx'd with bc, a grandmother that died of it, her mother had prophylatic masts due to her sister and two aunts having cancer.  So much for such a young girl.

I will keep Ashley in my prayers that all will be fine and she can go on being a teenager.

Sending prayers and B9 thoughts out to that sweet little girl. So sorry that she has to have this scare.

Hopefully soon she will be relieved of all her worries and this will all be behind her.

Your friends special child is in my prayers. Chanting B-9 all the time too. Please keep us informed. Somethings just do not seem fair!!! What a difficult thing to have to go through at 14!! Children can be very strong and spiritual. I know she and her family (and you too) are not alone.

Hugs and love to you all,
