It's amazing that I found someone so close to me in just 2 days of being on here.  I just couldn't believe it.  But it is true, she is real and she is just as sweet as pie!!!  We met today for lunch and she brought me gifts.  One of which was my very own bright pink scarf/boa!!!  She knit it herself just for me!!!!  She also brought lots of pictures of many of you for me to have faces to go with the names.  And she also brought me addresses with names, real and screen.  How awesome is that?!
We had such a good time that we talked so much our food was cold by the time we ate it.  But I didn't care, I could have just had water and felt nourished.  She is a bright and shining example of what this site is about.  Caring, loving, friends to help you get through a bad time.  I have tons of friends but no one that can relate to what I'm going through.  My oldest sister is one of my best friends but lately I hardly hear from her.  She started a new job shortly after my diagnosis but I think it's mostly because she doesn't know what to say or do for me.  This site is a true God-send to all of us going through this.  And I know that I found this site and Deb with some divine guidance.
We bored my poor DD though.  She was good for about the first half hour then she said "are you don't yet?" about 50 times.  Poor thing, I made it up to her by taking her to the library afterward.  She took a picture of Deb and I and we tried to take one of the three of us by ourselves but it didn't turn out.  As soon as DH can work on it for me we will post it for all to see.  I'm a little technologically challenged.
Thanks Deb for making the scarf, being a friend and providing the wonderful gifts today!  You are so special, I hope we can make a habit of getting together.

Don't forget chemoangels.com, and casting for recovery, if that's the route you're taking.

Isn't it fun to meet a Breast Friend? Nothing beats it, and no one else knows how we feel. Breast Cancer brings us into an instant sisterhood and we are forever bonded.

I am so glad you two got together. Deb is a sweetheart, but I can honestly say she is representative of this whole group of women. WE have all different ages, shapes, philosphies, but we all love each other and get along great and have so much fun at our get togethers. Sadly we have lost many of our sisters over the six years I have been here, but it has made us closer for the most part. Notice the post about Cherilyn. I haven't read it yet, but she was a great friend, too. I am looking forward to meeting you soon myself. Sorry your daughter got a little bored, but she'll know you are safe with us. LOL. And Mia, I got my socks today. I love them. They are so comfy looking. Can I wear them to the wedding? LOL Thanks so much. You are super. Love MK

Oh Mia,
I had such a wonderful time too. VIEW IMAGE  Your DD is such a little sweetheart too, just like her mom. I am so glad that she was on spring break and that I had the chance to meet her.   She was so patient with us and I hope that she was able to spend the rest of her afternoon riding that pretty new purple bike!!
My daughters and husband were so anxious to hear about our visit.  The girls both called me tonight to hear all about it.  I told them that there was no loss for words at our table.  Tee Hee
I am looking forward to our next visit and I can't wait to see the picture.
PS. The gals here have been so kind to give me such wonderful compliments, the feeling is so mutual for each and every one of the ladies here.

Hi Mia and Deb,

So glad you got to meet. The best part about it is that you live near each other. The only ones from the board I know live thousands of miles away. Of course, Roseanne isn't too far away, but we have yet to meet.

Hope this is a friendship that lasts a lifetime.

I am sure that Mia and I will have a special bond in the years to come. I feel so blessed to have met such a nice breast friend.
