Dear Mike and children,

I first met your wonderful mom and wife in May 2000 at the first get together of our very special group of women. She was so beautiful, such a lady, quiet and sweet, dignified and mannerly. I knew she was a very special person right away. I know you all are very proud of her, proud of her beauty and her life before breast cancer. You must be especially awed and proud of the way she lived her last six years fighting this terrible disease with such dignity and grace. Just a year ago when we were all in Louisville, she proudly brought you children to meet us, and we were happy to get to meet you and your dear aunt, who was such a great help to your mommy. She napped during the day as much as she could so she would have energy enough to be with us as we shared your lovely city. We appreciated her efforts for us and loved her all the more because she was so willing to be there with us.

I hate that you will have to live with memories, but I am happy to know that many of those memories are good ones. I know you had some great vacations together and spent many wonderful hours together. I hope in your thoughts during the next years you will realize what an impact your mother had on so many people she met. She was beautiful inside and out, no one can begin to compare with her. She called herself Mighty Beck here on our forum and she truly was Mighty in every way.

I send my love and my sympathy,
Mary K.

Dear Becky's Family:

I am so sorry for your loss of a Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and very special friend. For the short time that I knew Becky she was so special. She always had a beautiful smile on her face and was always encouraging everyone around her. Words to describe Becky, ... Mighty, sweet, special, giving, gentle, proud, grace, and brave are just a few. Becky was a very special person and as MK said, as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. She has touched so many lives, many she didn't even realize. I will keep you in my prayers and I know that while Becky will be missed terribly she will never be forgotten.

God Bless

I did not know Becky at all, but I'm truly saddened by your loss.  Words cannot express how much it hurts to lose someone you love.  I will keep your family in my thoughts and hope you keep her memory alive to keep you company as you go on.  I believe she is watching and loving you from wherever she is.

With Deepest sympathies,--Susan

To the wonderful family of our Mighty Beck, There are no words to tell you how deeply sorry I am. No one that met her could forget her grace and charm. She was beautiful in every way. I hope it is some comfort for you to know how much she was loved and how much we will all miss this very special lady. My heart goes out to all of you.

God bless you all, Joyce

Thank you so much for sharing your sweet and gentle wife and mother with us. She was a blessing to her friends as well as to her family, and she has touched many hearts throughout the U.S. I, too, lost my mom to cancer when I was a child, just seven, and I know how much it hurts to let go of an angel and let her fly. But I also know that I have felt the warmth of her love wrapped 'round my heart at special times...and her memory has brought many smiles along with the tears. Your mother's love will always be with you. They say an angel's wings are made from the broken hearts she leaves behind. Your Mom will surely have the most glorious wings!!!

Love to you All...

I wish I knew the right words to say.   Becky was so beautiful inside and out.  Every picture I have of her she is smiling.  People  say how hard breast cancer is on the woman but they do not always say how hard it is on those she leaves behind.  Just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

May God give you the strength that you need.

I also met Becky in 2000 in St. Louis and loved her from the beginning. We started posting on ivillage around the same time and I watched her fight with grace and optimism. I can't stand that we have lost another sister, but I cannot imagine how you feel to have lost your mother and eternal partner. Know that we are here for you just like we supported Becky and you are in the thoughts and prayers of so many folks tonight. I hope you find the strength you need to move on and continue living, with peace and happy memories.

Mike, children , family and special friends.

I am sending special hugs and prayers to each and everyone of you. It is so very hard saying goodbye to those we love, and it is especially hard when that someone is such a wonderful special lady as Becky was.

I feel so blessed to have gotten to meet Becky in St. Louis and in Louisville and I will ALWAYS remember her smile.

God Bless you all,

My earnest prayers for Mighty Beck's family are sincerely being said.

Take time to rejoice in her life, as she continues on into eternity, waiting to see all of you again.

To Becky's Family:
I was honored to have met and spent time with Becky.  I am very saddened to lose her lovely words of support.  Your family is in my prayers.  It was an honor to know her.  I will cherish my shirt, and remember her by that and my memories of Louisville.
