Hi Tammy,

I never had a stomach ache after Neupogen, but I had a heck of a backache. Please call your doctor immediately. Call the emergency room. There is usually an oncologist on duty for emergencies. This could be serious, so please don't wait. And let us know what outcome is, OK? I'm praying for you, sweetie.

Gentle hugs,

The meds that they give you for nausea are constipating. I learned that by experience, and ended up taking a laxative, with my RN's advice. For the future chemo treatments, I took a stool softener a few times for the first week, and also ate dried apricots to help. I was fine after that first one.

Please do call your nurse or doctor....

It's been less than a week, right?  That's about when my colon would shut down.  I had a horrible time of it, laxitives and stool softeners, I spent most of the time on chemo trying a balancing act between addressing the worst  block up I've ever had and when my system said, "ok, too many laxatives, now I'm gonna make you pay!"  I would call your doc and let him have it all, it may make you feel better, hearing "that'll happen" from the doc.
