I am new to this forum. I am 41 yrs old. Last year I had my yearly mamo and I had to go back for an ultrasound , I had 4 cysts on each breast. Was sent to a breast surgeon/oncologist since one cyst on each breast was quite large. The breast surgeon did aspirate 1 cyst on the left and 1 cyst on the right breast, sent them out and they both came back negative. Went for my annual mamo again about 2 months ago and of course they wanted me to come back for an ultrasound, I have very dense breasts. There were no changes on the right breast but on the left there is a lesion about the size of a walnut. MY report came back from the ultrasound as no evidence of cancer. I did follow up with the breast surgeon anyway just to make sure , well he decided he wants to take the lesion out of the left breast because it is hard and pretty big and becoming somewhat bothersome. He also mentioned there are cysts within the lesion. Has anyone ever heard of a tumor with cysts within it? So this past Tuesday 06/26/12 I had an excision biopsy of the left breast. The surgery really wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be (pain wise) I am taking 2-3 regular strength tylenol every 4 hours. I am very nervous about my results. I have to go back on tuesday to get my stitches out and the doctor said he will give me the results then. I am trying to be very positive and am hoping for good results.
Any advice you could give me would be great.
