I'm glad you all came with me to my doctor's visit because things have gotten a little scary the past two days.  Two nights ago I coughed up some significant blood. I went to my pulmonary doctor the next day and he ordered a CT scan. It showed that one of those nodules that we have been watching since last year suddenly got a lot bigger since the last scan 6 weeks ago. Since I was seeing the doctor at Sloan Kettering today, I brought the scan with me. She took the bloodwork for the tumor markers and ordered a PET scan that I waited around for. Thanks, guys, for being so patient! Well, that area definately lit up but I won't get an official report until next week. I brought a copy of the scan to my doctor here in NJ and he sceduled a bronchoscopy for Tuesday. So ladies, please come back here to NJ on Tuesday! Looks like I'm starting my own fireworks a little early(heh-heh). Everyone have a nice holiday! I'll keep you posted...L&H, Frayda

Oh gees Frayda. We did not expect that was what was taking the time. I am hoping and praying that the report will show if there is a problem which it sounds like there is, it will be fixable quickly. We will be there on Tuesday after we all get the fireworks out of our hair. We live on a branch of a lake where we have idiot neighbors across the slew who think they have to compete with the city fireworks display. Four neighbors homes and they all invite everyone they know to come and bring their own fireworks. My poor dogs shiver and shake and so do I, worrying about the house catching on fire.... So your fireworks I wll understand, theirs I don't. Hugs MK

Frayda, we're waiting with will the weather be this weekend in NJ? We are losing the heat and humidity tonight and have a great weekend, I suspect you will too. You have had so much to deal with and so many scares, I just hope this is another porkchop bone....

I'm sorry to hear about this. I will be sending positive thoughts your way and will keep you in my prayers. Of course, I'll be on the PCE on Tuesday, too!!! You'll recognize me easily because one of my prosthesis is usually down at my stomach and one is usually in the middle of my chest. I like the "vertical" look LOL. Hang in there!! If you want some company over the weekend, maybe we're not that far away. We could meet up somewhere or you're welcome to come over here and visit! L&H,

Dear Frayda,  I'm so sorry to read this latest development.  I'll be watching for your next post.  I know it's useless to say this but try to relax.  Impossible, I know.  I'm thinking of you.  L&H's, Luci

Thank you, everyone! My doctor from Sloan Kettering called me this morning;the results from the PET were highly suspicious for malignancy but the tumor markers were all normal. The only "hot" spot was that nodule. So the plan is to have the bronchoscopy here on Tuesday and then schedule a regular lung biopsy at Sloan. I have a very busy weekend planned, including the wedding of a very close friend's son on Sunday so I will have plenty of things to distract me.  Thank you for the invite, Laure, but as you can see, I will be well occupied. Another time, for sure!. I love you guys! Frayda

Frayda, didn't expect this kind of news, but glad tumor markers are normal. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
