I have been paying a fortune for Wolfgang Puck's rich espresso latte and mocha espresso latte. I have gotten an espresso maker, a coffee grinder, and stainless steel milk pot, a thermometer and some coffee beans.

I'm reading the instruction manual and this doesn't sound too easy. Does anyone out there have some advice on a first test? All I keep seeing is how easily you can be burned. Also, any espresso recipes you've got that are tasty? Thanks.

Love, Jo-Ann

PS - I ordered a countertop dishwasher when the dr said something was wrong. I was going to do it anyway. I hate washing dishes. I rank that right up there with scooping up dead spiders. LOL

I've gone through the espresso/cappuchino thing myself.  I once scored a copper maker at a garage sale for five bucks, one of my best finds.  I never tried to take the temperature, just practiced.  The stainless steel  is necessary, but you have to get the steamer just the right distance from the milk.  It only works sporadically for me, and I guess the reason is because of the temperature, which I never really put together until now.  The hardest part is steaming it.  Remember to really compress the grinds into the filter cup.
